I don't know you, and I didn't know your dog. But I do know your blog, and through it, I have a sense of you, and from that, a sense of your dog. I am sorry for your loss.

He's actually nothing like I'd imagined! He's more petite and long nosed than I'd thought. Fine intelligent eyes and an expression so easy to love. Losing a dog, let alone a dog of his age, is like losing family. My condolences once again

I'm sorry about your loss of your dog. I haven't met you but I do enjoy your writing. I've always liked dogs for the companionship, empathy, and humor they bring to daily life. Best wishes to you.

@Jackie T

Odie liked that photo because it made him look skinny. He was rather portly, with slew feet at the end of short crooked legs. He had a big, barrel chest--what they call a keel at the AKC. He had a tiny wee wee that he insisted was much larger when he was at his fighting weight.

If you ever get a chance, watch the old TV show, "Cannon". The rotund William Conrad sometimes ran short distances after bad guys. That's Odie.
